Watalot is a new company with a fresh approach to supporting inventors and helping them bring their ideas to market. Our journey is one of perseverance, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to innovation—shaped by both triumphs and the challenges that taught us to adapt and grow. The roots of Watalot trace back to 2020, when founder Aubrey Bisshopp and Keith Lukin collaborated on a groundbreaking product under the banner of InfiGen—an invention with the potential to make a global impact. Despite early promise, the project was halted due to unforeseen circumstances. At the time, Aubrey had already developed multiple innovative products, while Keith brought years of experience from managing successful businesses. In early 2022, Aubrey took a bold step forward and founded Watalot in the United Kingdom. Keith later joined to help establish a South African presence, playing a role in setting the foundation for the company’s broader vision. While Keith has since moved and is now based in the Dominican Republic, we appreciate his contribution during those formative stages and waiting for his return to take up his role as International Director setting up Watalot companies around the globe.. Since then, Watalot has evolved into a growing enterprise with an exceptional leadership team. In early 2025, Dan Phillips came aboard, bringing decades of operational and leadership expertise—including 30 years as an Area Manager with KFC, along with a strong background in the military. His guidance has been instrumental in helping steer the company forward. Around the same time, Andre Nieuwoudt joined as Sales Director for South Africa, bringing with him a deep well of sales knowledge and on-the-ground insight into our target markets. Today, we’re a team bound by shared purpose and diverse strengths. From bold concepts to ready-for-market products, we take ideas seriously—and we build the tools, branding, systems, and support to launch them into the world. At Watalot, our story is just beginning—and we’re proud of the team that’s helping to write it. |

The Beginnings of Aubrey's Entrepreneurial Journey Aubrey’s entrepreneurial spirit began at a young age with the creation of King Shooters, a unique concept that revolutionized the way shooters (shots) were packaged. The idea was simple yet brilliant: shooters with lids, packaged in six-packs, and then bundled into 24-packs. It was a fresh approach to a familiar product—and it had the potential to change the market. Aubrey was the first to launch this product globally, paving the way for others to follow. However, as with many young entrepreneurs, the early days were filled with learning experiences. At the time, balancing the excitement of launching a new venture with the lifestyle of partying and drinking took precedence over managing the company, which ultimately contributed to the downfall of King Shooters. Despite its closure, the journey was invaluable. The team, along with some trusted partners, designed almost every aspect of the business, from product development to setting up operations. Although King Shooters didn’t last, it remains a key part of Aubrey's entrepreneurial story, providing important lessons and a wealth of experience that would shape his future endeavors. |

Aubrey’s Vision for Prepaid Internet Access In 2004, Aubrey conceptualized a groundbreaking idea—Prepaid Internet Access through till points. This was a world-first, and we were proud to launch it through Pick 'n Pay, one of South Africa's largest retailers. Alongside this innovation, we also introduced an Internet Television product. It was a revolutionary concept designed to make Internet access more accessible and convenient for the masses. However, as with any ambitious venture, finding the right partners is crucial. Unfortunately, when external investors take control, the dynamics can shift. In this case, the contract was ultimately awarded to another company, but the lessons learned were invaluable. The experience reinforced one of Aubrey’s most important principles: never give up. Challenges are part of the entrepreneurial journey, and the key is to get back on your feet, keep pushing forward, and stay resilient. |

Turning Challenges into Opportunities True to our philosophy of never giving up, Aubrey launched a boating product and service magazine—filling a gap in the market. We successfully published several well-received issues before ultimately selling the company. Why not? Recognizing another opportunity, we introduced Water Trader—a magazine dedicated to the boating industry, something that had never been done before. Starting from scratch with no capital was no easy feat, but perseverance always pays off. Innovation Ahead of Its Time A few years later, Aubrey developed yet another groundbreaking idea and brought in Morne as a key partner. The vision? A platform that combined the best of Facebook and Gumtree—enhanced with powerful features like integrated auctions, advanced website functionalities, and more. In 2008, despite limited resources, we successfully designed and launched the concept from scratch. While capital constraints prevented its full-scale expansion at the time, the idea remains as relevant as ever. With Morne—a back-end development expert—playing a crucial role, we are gearing up to relaunch this visionary platform in the near future. Watch this space! |

Trinity Designs: A Legacy of Innovation Before this chapter, Aubrey successfully ran Trinity Designs, a company named after his daughter. Specializing in graphic and web design, as well as business plans, company profiles, and marketing strategies, Trinity Designs thrived even during challenging economic times. While many businesses struggled, Aubrey's strategic approach ensured its resilience and long-term success. Though www.trinitydesigns.co.za has since closed following Aubrey’s move back to the UK, the experience and expertise gained continue to shape Watalot’s innovative approach today. |

A Hard Lesson in TrustIn the journey of innovation, some lessons come at a high price. Aubrey, Keith, and a former associate embarked on an ambitious venture to develop free energy technology—a concept that was not only possible but had been successfully tested. With a solid business foundation, secured capital, and even pre-paid client orders, the company was on a rapid growth trajectory. At its peak, we had 45 agents across South Africa, a fully operational product, a thriving customer base, and even a signed multimillion-dollar agreement. Then came the hardest lesson of all—trusting the wrong person. Driven by greed and pride, our associate vanished with the product, our investment, and even our clients’ money. It was a devastating setback, but not the end of the story. Lessons were learned, resilience was built, and as always—we move forward. Stay tuned for what comes next.
